Rod Warranty & Replacement

We stand behind every rod we build — and if you break a section, we'll get you back on the water in days, not weeks.

There are two ways we back your rod. If something goes wrong because of us, that's on us — we'll make it right, free. And if you break a section out on the water, we'll get you a replacement fast and at a fair price, so a broken rod never means buying a whole new one.

The VFC Guarantee

If it's our fault, it's our problem. Every VFC rod is covered against manufacturing defects and workmanship issues. If your rod arrives flawed, or a section fails because of how it was built — not how it was fished — we'll replace it free. No hassle, no runaround.

Our goal is simple: to help. We build these rods ourselves, we fish them ourselves, and we're not going to do wrong by you over something that's on us.

The Rod Replacement Program

Broke a section? It happens to everyone. A car door, a tailing loop, a bad step on the bank — rods break. When it happens, you don't need to buy a whole new rod, and you shouldn't have to wait weeks to fish again.

We keep replacement sections on hand and ship within 1–2 business days of verifying your order — while most companies make you wait weeks or months.

No need to mail us the broken section first. Order the replacement and it's on its way — no shipping things back and forth.

You pay a flat price that covers the section, our labor, and shipping — nothing more. We don't profit off a broken rod.

How it works

  1. Find your rod below and open its replacement-section page.
  2. Choose which section you need (butt, second, third, or tip) and add your original VFC order number in the order notes at checkout — that's how we confirm it's a VFC rod.
  3. Check out and pay the flat replacement price.
  4. We verify and ship within 1–2 business days. Keep your broken piece — nothing to send back.

Questions

What's the difference between the Guarantee and the Replacement Program?
The Guarantee covers our mistakes — defects and workmanship — and those replacements are free. The Replacement Program is for when you break a section out fishing; those are replaced fast, at a fair flat price.
Do I have to send my broken section back?
No. Keep it. We ship your replacement without waiting on anything from you — that's a big part of how we get you back on the water in days instead of weeks.
Why do you need my order number?
Replacement sections are for VFC rod owners only. Your original order number is how we confirm that — it keeps the program for the people it's meant for.
How fast will I get it?
We ship within 1–2 business days of verifying your order, then it's standard shipping time from there.
Which section do I need?
Count from the butt (the grip/reel-seat end) up to the tip: butt, second, third, tip. The thin end is the tip. Not sure? Add a note with your order and we'll help sort it out.
I think mine is a defect, not something I broke — what do I do?
That falls under the VFC Guarantee, not the paid replacement. Reach out to us and we'll take care of it.
